Are penny stocks worth the risk?
Penny stocks are very popular these days with the investor who is looking for alternatives to publicly quoted stock. It is easy to see the appeal of penny stocks as not only are they low priced, but they have high potential for handsome returns. You should always remember however that even though they have great potential, they are of much higher risk than market shares. Before you invest in penny stocks, you should do your research first. Since penny stocks are not publicly quoted, there is little regulatory involvement. As such, information on the stock you are interested in may not be freely available. You should be able to find many online sources that specialise in penny stocks and these should be your stating point if have decided to plunge into the world of penny stocks.
