With the population getting top heavy in older folks a lot of marketing and innovation of products is being developed for those over 60. Many trader would say that Trend Trading is the only way to go as far as profiting in the stock market. Trend trading is also called "trend following" by some.
Traders using trend following methods seek to take the path of least resistance and "go with the flow". They use their analysis to determine the stock market trend and then take trades only in the direction of that trend. If, for instance, a stock is displaying strong bullish tendencies a trend trader will buy that stock in anticipation that the stock will move even higher.
When the trader has determined that the upward trend is at an end he may simply close out his trade for a profit. trend traders don’t typically try to catch a stock at the very beginning of a move. They first wait for the trend to be established and then enter their positions in the direction of the prevailing trend.
