Should You Cancel A Credit Card Account?

When you get a credit card paid off, a common question is should you cancel credit card account? It depends. In some cases, it can actually do you more harm than good by canceling a credit card with no balance on it. This can sometimes cause your credit score to drop, affecting your ability to qualify for credit and even causing your current credit cards to cost more, through increased interest rates. Part of the calculation of your credit score is the amount of debt you have outstanding versus the total amount of credit available. If you cancel a card with no balance, it causes this ratio to increase which is bad for your credit score.

Identity Guard From Authorities

It is quite amusing to know that identity thief involves the stealing someone else’s identity for the benefit of another person.  It is also amusing to know that identity thieves can steal everyone’s identity by just the use of IDs and personal data available in electronic means.  In the words of one FBI agent, it is possible to be an identity without any training at all. The authorities are seriously pursuing the culprits involved in identity thief.  But, so far, things are not going so well as the identity guard available is not fool-proof.  And come to think of it, the identity thieves get wiser every single day.  You cannot just underestimate the power of thieves these days.

The best place to stay

There are so many places you can go that feel topical. I have been to Hawaii and to the Caribbean, and so many other places, but I think I have finally found my favorite place to go to get some tropical sun, hands down. I was going to Australia, and I decided to stop in New Zealand. I found this great little Auckland accommodation, and I was so impressed that I decided to take my wife back there on an anniversary trip. It is just so calm, and is not one of these really touristy places. It is just perfect for our taste.

Allergies You Can Live With

With all of the advances in allergy medications in recent years I have noticed that my allergies are a lot more manageable.  I do not have as many side effects as I once did from over the counter medications and my allergy issues seem to be much more manageable.  For whatever reason I am not quite so bothered by taking medications as I used to be.  When I was a child I was incredibly bothered by my medicines and I was always so shaky and unable to sleep whenever I took anything.  Science is keeping up and making allergy sufferers a lot happier.

Bruce Wood Flooring: What The Pros Use.

From my years in the new-home, building-product supply business, I’ve met a lot of great sub-contractors.

All that being said, I was often in homes where I had to work around a few of these fellow partners in construction and the best guys by far were the flooring guys.

I was always running into them for some strange reason so I asked them a bunch of questions on more than one occasion.

Near the top of my list (because I was looking at buying some new, hardwood flooring at the time) was what brand of hardwood flooring they recommend.

The answer was the same no matter who I asked: Bruce wood flooring.

My father always told me, if you want the best, use what the pros use.

Early Withdrawl Penalty

If you are going to take an early withdrawl from your IRA or other retirement plan, bear in mind that there is probably a penalty for doing so unless your situation falls under one of the exceptions.

If you are buying a first home, for example, you can withdraw money from your IRA without a penalty for up to a certain amount of dollars.

However, most people when wanting to withdraw money do not fall under these exceptions and will have to pay the IRS penalty as well as be taxed depending on whether the contribution money was before or after tax.

A Limited Liability Company for My Business

If you plan on starting a business these days, it is a must that you use an asset protection vehicle such as a limited liability company for your new business.  This is because lawsuits and litigation has become so common in the business world.  If you are starting a business, you will be interacting and transacting with many types of people and other business.  Anytime you do so, there is a risk of a problem, dispute, misunderstanding or accident so make sure that you get the layer of protection that an LLC affords to a business owner before doing any business or launching your products and services to the public.

Mini Blinds Meet Apartment Needs

As an apartment manager, I decided to install mini blinds for the room privacy shades for my tenants.

I did this because if slats ever needed replacing, mini blind slats were more economical than the wide slats of regular horizontal blinds.

Mini blinds also tend to be lighter in weight & therefore easier for Randy, my handy man who fixes things in the apartments, to replace.

Mini blinds come in so many colors & the more popular materials are aluminum, vinyl & wood.

Some companies also make mini blinds of fabric, but these are expensive & rare, & not as easy to keep up.

What to do with an infestation of Raccoons

When you think of infestation I’m sure you rarely think about raccoons. However, in the state of Florida, raccoons are common and annoying. Residents find them rummaging garbage, hiding in attics or basements of their homes, giving rabies to other animals and overall just pestering the neighborhoods. Florida wildlife control is professionally prepared to handle any problems that arise out of the presence of raccoons. They understand the raccoons habits, diet, and behavior. Do not attempt to handle the problem yourself. Their employees can take care of any mess they make, remove and feces, clean urine and advise you on how to prevent the problem.

Download Movies, TV, And YouTube To Your Computer

Some of us are entertainment junkies.  And we like to have our movies, tv shows, and videos at our fingertips.

But surfing the Net to find sources for all of those things has always been frustrating for me, so I never had quite the collection I wanted.  Until I discovered johnq tv

It’s a site which allows you to download hundreds of movies, videos, and tv to watch, save for later viewing, or burn to DVD using their software.  The downloads are adware and spyware free and you can even get HD content.

Once I subscribed to the site I spent an entire weekend enjoying it then started building my entertainment library.

A Freshman Asks Her Father About Drinking Alcohol

While Linda and her father were eating breakfast one morning she asked him the following question: “Are the effects of alcohol on the body the same for most people?” Linda was a freshman in high school and was curious about drinking and why so many teens and adults drank.  Her father told her that while alcohol affects different people differently, that the problems abusive drinkers usually experience are very similar.  For instance, while excessive drinking may result in certain health problems, the important point to remember is that drinking too much almost always leads to health problems of one kind or another.

Get Your Mind Ready For Golf With A Mental Golf Training Aid

One thing I have noticed when I play golf is that if I feel good I usually play pretty good but if I feel life is getting me down then I play badly. It is amazing how important our mental state of mind is even when we are just playing for pleasure.

Top golfers talk about getting their head right ready to play and in other sports we hear about how people go over a race in their heads before they even start.

It is the same in golf and if you can get yourself ‘in the zone’ mentally you will play better. You can find a mental golf training aid online and for a small investment make abig difference to how you approach your game of golf.

A Woman’s Preference in Bathroom Designs

I have never had a large bathroom.  From as long back as I can remember, my bathrooms have always just been your average tub, single sink and toilet.  No closet, no shelves, no room for shelves – your basic, average bathroom.  When my husband and I started looking at home designs for our new property, he thought I was so silly to be turning down design after design because the bathrooms were average bathrooms.  When it comes to bathroom designs, though, I just know what I want.  I want a large bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a separate shower.  Double sinks would be awesome because then I have one and he has one.  These are important things to a woman.
