Timothy Geithner has seen his name in the business headlines quite a lot in the past few months. A lot of folks might shy away from taking an aggressive approach to their jobs with such “bad press,” but Geithner isn’t like that.
With Japan’s decade-long economic slowdown at the top of his mind, Timothy Geithner has made a statement that has put his name in the business headlines yet again; the US needs to take action, and quickly. In fact, the word Timothy Geithner used was to avoid “dithering.”
The positive news here is really for the individual investor. While the markets are certain to not jump immediately, calling a bottom has now become easier when you know the government will take quick action.

Does anyone around here have a six pack? Not too many people that I know have one. They think they do but they really do not. Maybe I should get them the six pack abs dvd and see if that will make their dream version of themselves a reality. There is really no better time for us to all find out if this is going to work but then that is really up to you to decide. These people that I know really need it now. It wouldn’t hurt for us all to try it out and see if it will work.

The economy officially went into recession yesterday. It feels like it has been in recession forever but the economy has really only been in decline for 6 months which isn’t that bad really when you consider that it has been booming for over a decade. It has scared a lot of people though and they might now be thinking twice about buying a black Nintendo DSi Console. Before they probably would have been sure they wanted one but now they might put their money into a savings account. The problem is that this kind of attitude makes the situation worse.
