My Central Heat and Air Unit Compressor Got Struck By Lightning
I live in a nice neighborhood where we all have central heat and air units for our homes. My compressor is located on the North side of my house. Last year, we had a thunderstorm to beat all thunderstorms. Lightning was all around us as it struck several times every few minutes. I had never seen so much lightning. I live in what is considered the lightning capital of Florida. My compressor got struck during one of the lightning attacks and I heard it. My home insurance paid for me to get a new compressor so it was no big deal, but until it was replaced we were hot and sweaty around here. You would just know this all happened in the heat of the summer.
