I had another date with Marcie last night. That woman could be a Covergirl if she wanted. I swear. Really, really smart too.
We went to the place on the lake, and you should have seen all the heads turning when we walked in. It’s like having Jackie Kennedy on your arm or something.
She’s going to be out of town on an assignment next week, but we’re supposed to get together again when she’s back in town. Nothing serious yet, but we really do enjoy each other’s company and have a lot of fun. We walked down to the ice cream stand after dinner. That sort of thing. She just really knows how to balance the formal and fun stuff better than anybody I know.

It started with one. I saw something small and brown skitter out of a bag from the supermarket and go running under the sink. I could tell it was a cockroach of some kind, but I had never seen a one quite so small or fast before! A few weeks later, they were everywhere! Under the fridge, in the pantry. They were nesting in the walls! It was more than I could handle myself. I started making calls to Brisbane pest control services, getting estimates, hoping something could be done. A month later, my house is clear. I’ve started a very reasonable monthly service to keep it that way.
