My husband and I tend to procrastinate. It doesn’t usually make things end well for us, but we do it anyway. We’re pretty busy, so if something isn’t absolutely essential, you can be pretty sure we’re going to do it at the last minute. Finding costumes for my sister’s Irish-themed party was no exception. We thought we could just go to the local Halloween shop and pick something up, but they didn’t have anything that would work for us. We ended up finding a very efficient Irish fancy dress costumes online store that bailed us out of our tight spot. We looked great, and no one was any wiser about our last minute rush!

So my little nephew and I are walking to the park the other day and as usual Billy is asking me questions about anything and everything around us. He’s asking about cars, traffic lights, homeless people, until we walk past a computer store with sign saying “free registry repair scan when you bring your PC in for cleaning”. So Billy starts asking what a registry is, why it needs to be scanned and if he can bring his gameboy in for cleaning and a free registry repair scan. I thought for a minute and instead of answering distracted him with an ice cream cone from a street vendor… problem solved!

I am a recent high school graduate preparing to leave for college in a few weeks. My summer has been hectic working at the local swimming pool as a lifeguard and shopping for the items I need to furnish my dorm room. The time has flown by and it won’t be long until my parents pack up the old SUV and transport me and my belongings half way across the state to the college of my choice. I received many useful graduation gifts along with a sizable amount of cash, but one of the presents that I really appreciated was a Music Download gift card. My “cool” aunt came up with this unique gift idea. This will really come in handy when I want to download some tunes on my Mp3 player and am running short of money.

My sister Eva has the most beautiful guest bath in her home. She has put a lot of effort (and money) in to decorating it and it is a really nice addition to her house. She has the most beautiful little tray of fancy hand soaps in the room, and they match the decor just perfectly. I do know that she has spent next to nothing on these fantastic soaps because she and I went to a craft fair a while back and learned how to make soap. Since then, we have experiments with different scents and colors and have really had fun with it.
