Conserving the Great Smoky Mountain Nature

May 20th, 2009

Nature Photography has been a tremendous contributor to the cause of improving our environment and preserving valuable regions of America.  Many of the tales that were   brought back east by the early trappers and explorers were considered too bizarre to be believed.  It was only after William Jackson first photographed Yellowstone in 1871 that Yellowstone Park was officially established in 1872.  There are a number of photographers not just from the past but also of today that are promoting the conservation cause by way of their nature photography.  Many of these beautiful images touch the heart and mind of people that see them.  I only hope that I too, through my work in the Great Smoky Mountain nature, can make some contribution to this effort.
