Eccentric Quilling Shapes

July 14th, 2008

There are lots of basic, regular and irregular shapes that can be used in quilling but there is also another category of shapes called eccentric.  Eccentric shapes are those that have the centre of the shape pulled to one side and glued in to position.  Because of the nature of eccentric shapes it is often easier to use a quilling designer board.  The premade circular moulds on the designer board make it very easy to construct eccentric shapes of the same size.  To ensure the shape stays uniform apply glue to the top of the shape.  When placing the finished eccentric shape on your work make sure you turn it upside down or the dried glue will be visible in the finished design.
