A New Appreciation

When I turned eighteen, I couldn’t wait to move away from home. I imagined all the freedom I would have, away from my parents and their oppressive rules. I thought it would be a party every night. But when I was actually on my own, reality set in. Suddenly, I had to do everything for myself. I had to pay my own rent, buy my own food, and get my own Car Insurance Quote. There was no money left for anything else. I had no idea being an adult was so hard! It gives me a new appreciation for everything my parents have done for me all these years.
