Protecting your car from theft is very important. I had a friend who recently had her car broken into and she lamented that she wished that she had invested in an automotive car alarm. With the discounts that you get for investing in an alarm it just makes sense to have one. Not only are they are a theft deterrent they also add to the value of your car should you try to sell it. If you live in a dark street and have to leave your car on the street then an alarm should be considered essential. Some alarms that have remote operation also double up for personal security.
