The power of suggestion and recommendation when it comes to motorcycle movers

January 21st, 2008

A lot of things happen because we know someone.I have been thinking about this lately. And its certainly true with me. For example my most recent road bike helmet was a Giro, because a friend who is a former pro rider recommended them. I crashed in it two months ago and needed another. The current one is a Limar … because the same friend switched his recommendation last year!I’d pick motorcycle movers the same way. Ask around. If I know someone who recently had his bike shipped I’d talk with him. If I was moving to a new city and had a real estate agent working for me, I’d ask him. (He must have had other clients who moved with their car or bike.) I would even stop and ask a stranger in my neighborhood who I spotted moving his bike. People who have moved will steer me towards a good company, perhaps, but will also have practical suggestions I would not have thought of.Actually, taking this a little further, I’d also talk with more than one mover. That way I’d get a range of prices and services, as well as a ‘feel’ for who I wanted to entrust my bike to at moving time!
