Ecommerce merchant account and the security risk perception of online business

In case you are a business man who wishes to go online and wants to secure an ecommerce merchant account, then there may be some doubts in your mind as to the security risks of online transactions.

This is a common perception and more fiction than fact is behind it. It is as a matter of fact much more insecure to use your credit card at a restaurant or give your credit card details to the pizza delivery boy who delivers at your door.

Online transactions are made on Secure Socket Layers (SSL) pages which are hosted on SSL Servers.

Technology has advanced to the point, where certain precautions if taken can prevent any online theft of credit cards.
