Fire extinguisher refills: keep extras on hand

January 22nd, 2008

I really think that it would be a good practice for most homeowners to purchase several fire extinguisher refills, in addition to the original units which they have purchased. The simple fact is, that if you have to combat a very large fire in your home or office, you may totally exhaust the contents of the unit — but if you have a refill on hand, you can easily and quickly install it and resume fighting the fire. While you may never need one, it certainly won’t hurt you to have a couple of extras around — if you do need them, you’ll be glad you had them handy.
