I’m Learning to Be More Generous

When I was growing up, I was never really taught much about philanthropy. We lived pretty hand to mouth, which is actually quite an understatement. There was nothing extra and we didn’t really look outside ourselves to see who had it worse than we did. As as adult, I’ve had to teach those lessons to myself and pass them to my kids. One of the easiest ways I’ve recently heard about is donating my Discover rewards to certain charities. Some can use gifts cards, but I think others might be able to take a direct transfer. I also try to set aside a certain percentage that goes to charities.
