Is Consumer Confidence Affecting My Employer Retirement Plan?

Consumer confidence is at 15 year low and many people are worried about their employer retirement plan. So, is there anything to worried about? In general, when consumer confidence is at record low, usually Wall Street and the stock markets are not doing so well either.
That means, whether your 401k will do ok or not depends on what you have in your 401k. There are many investments that survive and do ok in bad economy, even if consumer confidence is very low.
If you do not know what you have in your account, it is a good time to find out and fix whatever you can.
