Letters from the IRS

We have had our taxes prepared by two big name accounting firms. They are not big name in a worldly sense but are big in our little town. Both are staffed with high paid CPAs. The firms offered all the standard tax services including the ability to file an online income tax return for a fee. Both charged a lot of money to do our returns and in both cases we received letters from the Internal Revenue Service questioning the returns. They did file corrections to the returns without charge but I was still responsible for coming up with the additional money for the taxes.
