Not a driver

One of the trucking jobs that doe sn involve driving is that of dispatcher. If you ask any driver they will tell you how valuable this job is. Dispatchers keep in contact with the drivers both over a radio and by phone usually a cell. Long haulers can get weather updates and alternate routes in case of problems on the road. Also independents Drivers will often have their local dispatcher scouting out the next job at the end of the run. They help to keep drivers on the road. They even are who a driver will call if an accident or illness occurs to get help in in unfamiliar areas.
