Own Property All Over the World

Maybe it is just my big ego talking but I would love to go to my next dinner party and talk like some of my rich friends talk. I know that they are not bragging, too much anyway, when they talk about their different vacations and their different homes all over the world. How do they do it? They are only make a little bit more than I do but some how they are able to own fractional real estate where I can barely afford to keep up with my own mortgage every month. Is there a trick to owning all these properties that I do not know about?
