Sanitation: Avoiding cross contamination of foods

June 12th, 2008

I have found that the single best way to ensure sanitation: avoiding cross contamination is to have stations in your kitchen. Each station is for specific things such as raw meat, fruits and veggies, dessert, salad, and so on. Each station has all the necessary products it needs to be sanitized at a moments notice. There is never a need for anyone to have to look very far for a way to sanitize there station and everyone knows that raw meat will ever go on to the fruits and veggie station. Having stations helps to ensure that there is less opportunity for foods to cross.
