Technical Elements of a Cover Letter

May 8th, 2009

Whether you know it or not, companies look for employees with above average skills in communication; namely, the English language and all of its rules governing grammar, spelling and sentence structure. Your job application, resume and most importantly, your cover letter, will go a long way toward convincing the company that you have excellent skills and qualifications, but not if all three are filled with spelling errors, grammar snafus and dreadful sentence structure! So pay careful attention to these elements – they are important! Don’t just take my word for it, however; go and do a little research! A well written letter and resume will seal the deal.
