While it is not very easy to improve your credit score, once it is in place, there are things you can do to ensure that it does not go down again. Given below are tips that you should follow in maintaining a good credit score.
Pay bills on time: This not only means your credit card, mortgage, and loan payments but also your utility bills, taxes, etc.
Maintain a strong pattern: This means that you should try to keep paying off balances regularly. This displays a sense of responsibility.
Keep fewer credit cards: Try and keep not more than 3 or 4 credit cards as having a large number of credit cards can have an adverse effect on you credit score.
Refrain from getting too close to your credit limits.
Minimize your outstanding loans.
