To repair bad credit start with your credit report

February 2nd, 2008

Whether you’re hiring a professional or doing it yourself to repair bad credit you always must start with a fresh copy of your credit report. Preferably one from each of the three credit reporting agencies. Armed with this you have the information to determine how you can start to raise your score and bring yourself back to a healthy credit situation.

Ordering your credit report can be done for free from some websites once each year. Beyond that you will have to pay for more copies. Even after you’re credit health is restored it’s important that you keep tabs on where your credit score is at and how you can constantly improve it.
