Type of Backlinks
December 20th, 2008
Backlinks are defined as a link that points toward a particular site. Backlinks are also known to be called as “incoming links,” “inbound link,” “inlinks,” and “inward links.”
Backlinks are created when another website finds value in your website, enough to link it to his/her website. The website being linked to did not have to request to be linked to, nor did he/she bargain for this link in order to achieve this backlink to his/her site. This type of backlinks is called organic SEO backlinks.
However, if you were the one who is requesting for a backlink from another website, this may be called a “link request” and thus termed as a non-organic SEO link request.
