We Need a Lower Property Tax

Property taxes in my area are getting out of control. It seems that every year the government raises property taxes in order to pay for some big project that they have decided to undertake in order to make the center of the city a nicer place to live. That is well and good for those who live in the city, but those of us on the outskirts should not have to pay so that people who decide to reside within the city limits can have a nice piece of property. We need a lower property tax so that everyone can take care of their own land.
