All I have to do to hear recently released love songs is turn on the radio. On Saturday nights our local radio station plays the top 10 best love songs. I look forward to hearing this playlist every week because the songs are so meaningful and romantic. My husband is a police officer and he has to work almost every weekend. I always think about my husband when listening to love songs. So listening to these songs also makes me feel closer to him. Funny to say it but, the love songs keeps the romance alive even when he can not be at home.

It was Plant that really inspired me as a young singer. He just sang some songs with such emotion. Learning how to sing more powerfully was a priority as a musician because I loved listening to other emotional singers. The drama and motion wrapped up in music was very attractive. We can learn to sing effectively with less effort if we use the right techniques. Some people don’t understand that you don’t necessarily have to try harder to be profound with your singing. You can relax and create more volume and dynamics if using technique correctly. Just learn some essentials and continue to improve with them over time.

Many singers are looking for vocal DVD lessons to increase their vocal skills. Even if you’ve been taking lessons from a coach, a DVD can be a great way to continue the process. It’s going to usually take some consistency as a singer to make real, lasting improvement. If you’re just taking lessons from a coach once or twice a week, but not putting in 20 minutes per day, you’re probably going to be really disappointed. Some of the DVDs made by famous coaches, such as Brett Manning and Per Bristow are good for home lessons. It’s also good to record yourself singing or you can record your practices in your house. That way, you can understand your real sound.

Two years ago I was writing out my Christmas cards when I realized I had just written almost the same to twenty people. It dawned on me that the cards themselves were all the same, so I was just writing automatically. Last year I decided to send greetings which meant something. I ordered supplies and Card Making Embellishments online and taught myself to create greetings. It was much more fun and meaningful than I thought it would be and my family and friends loved the cards. I am now looking forward to this year and the creativity of sending personalized greetings.

I only had two days until my 10th wedding anniversary and I still hadn’t for the perfect gift for my wife. I wanted to get her something classic but I didn’t wait to get a new ring or a necklace. I decided to run by JEM Jewellers and see what that had to offer. As I walked in I noticed a great collection of tennis bracelets and thought that would be just right. I ended up picking out a beautiful white gold bracelet with three rows of diamonds. My wife was absolutely thrilled with her gift and it made for the perfect anniversary.

I was at a car boot sale a few Sundays back and I found some amazing artwork of British landscapes, painted in a modern, chunky style – they look almost animated. A lady had 5 or 6 pieces which were going for a pound or two each, and were all in pretty good condition. I run a small B&B and thought they would look ideal in the lobby, hallways etc so I snapped them up. Bargained down to a tenner and got myself some really nice artwork for next to nothing. I now have a Contemporary Painting taking pride of place in my lobby and people always comment on how nice they look.

If you are still looking for romance and companionship in your life, believe me, you are not alone.
