The Basics of Speed Training

Before beginning any athletic program, it is wise to be certain that your body is ready for this activity.  Check with your medical doctor for clearance.  Speed training is essential for the runner who engages in the long distance events but may depend on that last minute sprint to decide the winner.  This regiment allows one to develop sprinting ability by running in intervals of sprints and then a slower pace in which the body is recovering.  These sessions can last anywhere from 30-45 minutes in duration.  This also allows for the developing of good basic running mechanics and strength building.

Two Vertical Leap Exercise Variations

Ankle bounces are a well-known exercise for increasing your vertical jump. These are two variations of one exercise to jump higher that are variations of ankle bounces. The first is front-to-back ankle bounces. It is just like ankle bounces except you jump forwards and backwards using your ankles and calves. The other variation is side-to-side ankle bounces, which are ankle bounces where you just jump from one side to the other using your ankles and calves to jump again. Make sure that you bend your knees as little as possible when you do these exercises so your ankles and calves can do all of the work.

Are logo socks the same as custom socks?

Since I’ve been blogging about socks and customized socks, some questions have been coming back regularly so I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to clarify a few things. For example, several people have been asking me what was the difference between logo socks and custom socks. Well, amusingly enough, they are the same thing. Logo socks is indeed just another name for custom socks and it of course implies that these socks can get made with various custom logos. What I noticed is that they are usually called logo socks when used as promotional items while in the sports industry they are just referred as custom – or customized – socks.

The Two Types of Ammuntion Available for Airsoft Guns

When you are looking for airsoft gun ammuntion, you are only going to find two main types of ammo available. And those two types of ammo are seamless 6 MM BBs, and 6 MM Paintball BBs.

As you might have already noticed, the diameter of the BBs is the same, the only difference here is that one is a plastic BB, and one is a paintball. I think the idea of the paintball is just extremely cool, because now you can have a paintball war, and yet carry equipment that looks (except for the blaze orange tip), feels, and acts just like the real thing.

Waterproofing and Breathability, or What Do Those Numbers on Your Snowboard Pants Mean?

There are more snowboard pants available now than ever before, and sorting through the features of the newest ones be confusing. It helps to know a little about the waterproofing and breathability standards – and then check to see how the snowboard pants you’re looking at are rated. Basically, the higher the number, the more waterproof or breathable your pants are. How much waterproofing and breathability do you need? It really depends on the kind of snowboarding you do. If you’re an active snowboarder, who does a lot of walking, in colder weather, a higher breathability rating will mean more comfort. More waterproofing is better in wet snow or spring, or if you’re out in rapidly changing conditions.

Controversial Abs Bodybuilding Tips

We have always been bombarded with so many options  that there are just some dubious abs bodybuilding procedures. In exercising, gym instructors and fitness trainers have varying styles and techniques. This is sometimes a good thing. But in reality, this is just creating confusion to the general public. The source of very useful information becomes questionable and the integrity seemed to wane easily. This is what the public should be very careful of when assessing products and services. We have to be very patient in really deciphering the truth in these products and services. This will spare us from becoming victims of false advertising.

Weight Training Vest Safely Builds Body Strength, Stamina

If you are planning on starting an exercise routine, as with any type of new exercise or strength training, you should start out light and work your way slowly up to an increased training level. The wearing of a Weight Training Vest would be no different. Because the body is generally not used to bearing extra weight in a sustained time frame, it is recommended that you start out with the lightest weight vest, and carefully acclimate your body to the strengthening process. This will give you not only the safest fitness results, but it will also more effectively build up your strength and stamina.

Extra Stuff

Alright, yes I’m a female. I’m not much in tune with what goes on in a boxing ring. Although, I can hold my own when it comes to bucking bales of hay and knowing which end of the post hole diggers to hold. But the boxing thing, has me a little confused. When I use to see kids fight on the playground when we were younger, they didn’t have any boxing supplies on hand. They just duked it out until the other guy gave up or ran off.  Now apparently when you box you need more then just your fist. Have you seen all that stuff that goes with the gloves ?

Price does not always dictate quality when choosing golf clubs

The best golf clubs you can buy, are not always the most expensive.  Every set of clubs is different, and price does not always dictate how good they are.  For a start the most expensive clubs will usually be a popular brand name, which means you will be paying a lot of money for the brand name as well as the clubs.  You need to weigh up all the positives and negatives of each set of clubs before you decide to invest in them.  Seeking out reviews like this Callaway big bertha irons review will help you to find out exactly what you can expect from each set of clubs, and if they are the right ones for you.
