All about Hallux abducto valgus

Hallux abducto valgus, commonly called bunions are also called hallux valgus sometimes. The actual name is derived from the hallux which is the technical term pertaining to the big toe while valgus and abducto both refer to the twisting and leaning toward the lesser toes. This is then accompanied by an enlargement regarding the joint from the base associated with the big toe called the bunion and is caused by a lot of factors of which is related to poor shoe fit, poor foot biomechanics mixed with a hereditary tendency.
