Does Colchicine Really Help Gout?

An old but successful drug pertaining to the early management regarding gout is typically just what we named Colchicine. That is useful at pain relief within 24-48 hours. This does have toxic side effects, so that is not necessarily very very good long term with regard to the kidney. Even with that it is helpful to support diagnose gout in the less common places. Normally gout is seriously not hard to identify inside the big toe joint, as the signs are generally so common. In other joints this is not so easy to detect, so often a dosage or 2 of Colchicine may tell you if its gout or definitely not, if its gout, then the pain may go away within 24-48 hours.
