Finer, Keener Senses

Night shifts are tough, challenging and grueling. It is important for me to keep awake and focused all of the time. I was having a hard time adjusting to the long hours at night and I felt my life was draining away. To stay awake, I needed to down large cups of coffee and smoke several packs of cigarettes. I was really on a downward spiral that time. One of my better co-workers showed me this video about the paleo diet and its many benefits. With it, I can keep my focus and my senses sharp without the need of more harmful chemicals in the body. It was the ‘natural’ way of keeping focused and awake. I gave it a try while adjusting my sleep and activity patterns. Right now, my body has fully adjusted to the stress and demands of my job. It’s a whole lot easier!
