Used by a lot of athletes in a variety of different sports, plyometrics is a type of training, implemented into an athlete’s fitness program, to enhance both their power and endurance in any particular sport.
Particularly effective for both long and vertical jumpers, plyometrics works on building muscle strength and agility which will enhance an athlete’s power and movements.
It is important to discuss with your personal trainer the level of plyometrics necessary as improper use of plyometrics can be bad for the joints.
An effective form of training, plyometric exercises is used by a growing number of athletes wanting to improve their sports performance.
