Tips For Healthy Senior Fitness

Senior fitness is growing in importance as the baby boomer generation ages. For active adults, growing older does not mean giving up exercise. However, it is important to transition to safe senior fitness. What are some of the important things to keep in mind if you an older adult exercising? Remember, you may have been able to push yourself physically in the past, but it is not a good idea to do so now. You should be able to have a normal conversation while you are exercising. Be sure to exercise in weather that will not strain you, for example if it is too hot or too cold, or too rainy or windy. Also, wear the right clothing so that you are comfortable and warm but not likely to become overheated. It is absolutely necessary that you drink plenty of water before, during, and after your senior fitness routine.
