This is very important if you want cheap individual health care insurance: There are situations for which you really should not visit a doctor. Take, for instance, a viral infection like flu. Visiting your doctor will change nothing about your health if you understand what to do. Applying some home remedies will really help in such situations. We all know that your doctor cannot do you much good if you have a viral infection. 

So is it wise to spend close to $100 to visit a doctor when you already know that your situation would not be helped much? This also applies to simple first aid treatment.

It is better to know how to handle simple home emergencies especially if you have children. Learning a few little things and having a well-equiped first aid box will help you save considerably on unnecessary visits to a doctor.

However, if you do not know what to do, go ahead see a doctor.
