Chemicals in Aronia Berry

April 4th, 2009

It is now a well known fact that the aronia berry contains many healthy substances. The aronia berry contains such chemicals as peonidin, malvidin, pelargonidin, petunidin, delphinidin, quercetin, caffeic acid, epacatechin, and cynadie3-glactoside.

The human body needs these chemicals to be healthy. The aronia berry is not only high in flavanoids, but it is also very high in antioxidants which are very desirable in fruits and skin care products nowadays.

Studies have shown that the antioxidants properties of the aronia berry can help in the prevention of liver failure, eye inflammation, peptic ulcers, cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer and other oxidative stress related conditions.
