Love of Animals Leads to Job in the Field of Pet Health

Ever since I was a young child I have loved animals.  Fortunately for me I was born into a family of animal lovers.  My grandparents had pygmy goats, a pot-bellied pig, and a miniature donkey in addition to their large family of dogs and cats.  As the menagerie grew, so did I and I became more involved in their care.  I enjoyed accompanying my grandma on trips to the vets.  Our vet was so gentle with the animals and tried to make sure they were not scared.  One of our dogs became seriously ill and we were afraid it was going to die.  The vet saved her life and that was when I decided I wanted a job in the field of Pet Health.  After several long years of schooling, I have my veterinary license and I will be working with our family vet.  Talk about a dream come true!
