Massage Therapy

April 16th, 2008

There are many benefits of massage therapy.  For starters, it is a great way to relieve muscle tension, stress and anxiety.  Have you ever watched a movie where the lead actor is about to encounter a stressful scene or has just finished doing something extremely stressful and then someone else comes up behind him/her and gives them a quick shoulder massage, telling them that everything will be alright?  It’s true, massage therapy, even in small doses like that, can work wonders for your body as well as for your mental clarity.  For people who are experiencing depression or other forms of anxiety, massage therapy has been proven time and time again to be effective.  Often times, massage therapy will be paired with meditation for a most soothing effect.  Massage therapists can often be seen and are most often requested by appointment when people go on vacations.  You can find them working in spas where people go to RELAX.  If you can’t afford a massage therapist, simply have your partner or spouse give you a massage.  It’s a great way to stay "in touch" too!
