Pregnancy Complication: How Does Pregnancy Work?

Primarily, stretch marks are a product of rapid growth which stretches the skin and leaves broken lines of red streaks that are not pretty to look at. There are lotions that are specially created to get rid of the stretch marks on the body; these lotions function by moisturizing the skin thereby helping the skin maintain its suppleness when it is stretched during pregnancy. Stretch marks can be caused by a disturbance of collagen in the body which in turn causes a loosening of the skin that can be easily stretched and broken in a case where excess weight is gained by a person. Women who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding are not advised to use stretch mark creams or lotions that have tretinoin or Retin -A because they can be harmful for her and her baby.
