Reduce Hives With Natural Vitamin Supplements

April 19th, 2009

Hives can be a natural reaction to the presence of a foreign substance in the body.  However, an offending substance doesn’t have to enter the body in order for an outbreak of hives.  Simply coming into contact with various substances, such as pesticides, soaps, shampoos, hair sprays, residues from laundry products or dry cleaning chemicals on clothing, or any other seemingly innocuous household items can cause an attack of hives.

Poison ivy is a perfect example of an allergic reaction that ninety percent of the people who come into contact with break out in a rash.  Generally, poison ivy will last anywhere from two days to two or three weeks depending on the form of treatment one seeks.

Fortunately, natural vitamin supplements are available that can help reduce hives.  Histamine responses to foreign substances happen probably on a daily basis but depending on the amount of reaction determines whether you experience a hive breakout of even notice it at all.  Natural bioflavonoid quercetin can help the body fight off hives by acting as a anti-histamine in the body.
