What is the key to avoiding alcoholism?

I had a freind who wanted to write a college paper on alcohol abuse treatment Florida. She visited agencies that she felt would have information on the topic. What kind of agencies did she visit?
She concentrated on social service agencies, psychiatrists, psychologists, police departments, probation offices, drug and alcohol abuse centers, child abuse treatment and prevention centers, welfare departments (asking the caseworkers for information), county health departments, day-care centers, schools, hospital stress centers, and in one case a city mayor. What success did she have? A key to avoiding the dangers of alcohol abuse is knowing where to draw the line.
