My Grandmother Took Care of Business

My family was devastated when my grandmother passed away. My uncle and his family are very well off financially and paid for all of her funeral expenses and any unpaid bills that my grandmother had. The next week when we were cleaning out her home, we discovered that she had a life insurance policy and that my mother was named as the beneficiary. She had to fill our some paperwork and apply for a Life Insurance Settlement in order to be paid. The policy was very old, but it was still good because my grandmother had never missed a payment.
