Hotels London instead of Hotel California

I had the most bizarre traveling experience last week. I had been in Cairo for a conference on art and multiculturalism in the contemporary context, and my flight home went from Cairo to London, London to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles to Chicago, where I live. I had expected to spend the night at a hotel in California because of a long layover there. In fact, while I was in Cairo I was singing that song with the phrase hotel California. Instead, I sang hotels London as I spent three days there, wading my way through security issues. Apparently, a stint in Cairo and then traveling through several major U.S. cities is not okay with the U.S. government. At least they were nice hotels.
