Just Out of Curiosity

I’ve been conducting a survey on my own just out of curiosity and I have been asking people if they can show me their birth certificates and their marriage records. I’ve actually been surprised at how many people don’t know where they keep these important records! They have them somewhere, they say, but they’re just now sure where they are right now. I started doing this because I needed a copy of my birth certificate and my mother couldn’t lay her hands right on it. In fact, it took her three days to find it for me, so I got wondering how many other people were just like that.
