The failure to be good stewards

Talk to 20 people and half will believe the proponents and will believe the opponents about global warming. And when you listen to the expert scientists, it appears that the jury is still out. We have a habit of taking for granted the gifts we have been given with this earth and have not always been good stewards of the earth. We listen to the rabid few on both sides and I fear we are like chicken little that the sky is falling. Are we so self-centered, so full of ourselves that we think that we have the power to stop a global change, as though we were stopping the world or trying to turn it around?
