If you knew more about the technology of Blu Ray, you would not hesitate to buy the panasonic blue ray disc player. It is advancement to the way movies are played, recorded, and formatted. If you have the new high def Blu Ray discs, you want to watch them on something that will play them, yet still play the old movies that do not have the blu ray. You can even get one with a VHS player as well, and then you have the whole set up in one neat package. If that is not a deal, I do not know what is. Make it your new player, and be happy.
