Diving the Great Barrier Reef
December 11th, 2009
Several deep sea diver enthusiasts travel to Australia solely to go diving in the Great Barrier Reef. It is hard to measure up to its magnificent beauty and vast size. It is considered the world’s largest aquatic ecosystem and home to amazing scuba diving. With such a grand reputation, other notable coral reefs are often overlooked. Many experienced divers have ventured out to the remote western coasts of Australia. There are several sites in Western Australia such as the Navy Pier and the Ningaloo Reef which house a diverse number of marine life that could rival the Great Barrier Reef. For those looking to find a less touristy site, taking a trip over to the Western side may prove worthwhile for a unique scuba diving experience.
